For smooth movement of travelers within the city or between the terminals or nearby destinations, Indira Gandhi International Airport provides apt transport facilities to the tourists. The following are the different facilities provided at the airport:
Airport Transfer Coach
Airports Authority of India provides free air-conditioned 'Airport Transfer Coach' service round the clock for transit passengers to commute between International and Domestic terminals, through the airside. Passenger can contact the airline Facilitation Counter inside Domestic Arrival Hall / outside Customs area at International Arrivals to avail the facility. Apart from this Indian Airlines also provide free coach service for their connecting passengers. Indian Airlines facilitation counters are available for assistance at Domestic Arrival Hall and outside Customs Hall in the concessionaire area at the International Terminal.
Bus Service
Direct Bus service at cheap rates is available at every 20 minutes gap from the area outside the Arrival Visitors Hall of Terminal II for Inter State Bus Terminus round the clock as per details below. These coaches operate from Terminal II via Domestic Terminal and vice versa. Charges to different destinations are fixed.
Prepaid Taxi Service
To ensure safe travel up to different destinations and curb overcharging, Airports Authority of India in coordination with Delhi Traffic Police is providing 'Prepaid Taxi Service' for arriving passengers at Domestic and International Terminals. Prepaid taxi counters are located outside customs hall in concessionaire area and outside Arrival Visitors Lounge (West Wing). Payment is made in advance at counters and coupons are issued.
Car Rental Services
Travelers can hire cars of their choice from the wide range of cars with drivers available at Counters located in the concessionaire area outside Customs hall in International Terminal and in Visitors Area of Domestic Arrival Hall. All service providers are license holder provided by Airport Authority of India. Here also the charges are fixed for different destinations within and outside the capital.
Coach Service
Punjab Tourism offers air-conditioned luxury coach service from its counter near Arrival Hall at Terminal II.
Apart from this free bus service is provided from 5 PM to 10 AM from Terminal II to general parking area.
