The Norkhill is the oldest heritage hotel in Gangtok in the state of Sikkim. Norkhill in Sikkimese means 'House of Jewels'. The King of Sikkim built the Norkhill as a Royal Guesthouse in 1932 to receive and entertain the various Heads of States, Diplomats and other Dignitaries.
