The flagship hotel of Ashok Group, Hotel Ashok is located in one of the plushest localities of Delhi about 15 kilometers from the Indira Gandhi International Airport and two kilometers away from Rashtrapati Bhavan. Symbolizing the traditional grandeur of this historic city, the hotel's rose-pink walls and arched arc turreted contours has made it a unique landmark of the capital, quite different from the typical grand luxury hotels.
Accommodation
The Ashok Hotel has 550 rooms out of which 60 are Executive Suites, 40 are Double Suites, 10 are Deluxe Suites and a Presidential Suite. Fully air-conditioned all rooms are provided with a balcony. The suites of the hotel are the main attractions as they have been laid keeping in mind a specific theme representing the regional variations of the country.
The Natraj Suite displays the ethnic South India's beauty through the south Indian temple bells and dance while the Kashmir Suite tries to capture the beauty of snow-capped mountains. The Rajput Suite reflects the desert of Rajasthan with the use of red and yellow color and the Emerald and Neelam Suites, named after the precious stones, are done with green and blue fabrics. The spacious Presidential Suite is decorated with silk curtains, giant crystal chandeliers and Kashmiri rugs. The Executive Floor and Lounge has 59 rooms and suites most apt for travelers of the corporate world.
Dining
There are 12 sophisticated eating-places within the hotel premises serving luscious cuisines from north Indian, mughali and South Indian to Korean, Chinese, Lebanese and Continental. The Coffee Shop at the Lobby level, Frontier, the barbecued restaurant, the Durbar where you enjoy your meal listening ghazals, the China Town known for Cantonese, Szechwan, Beijing and Hunan preparations, Mashrabiya serving finest Lebanese platter, Korean cuisine of Kum-Gang, South Indian gourmet delights at Sagar Ratna and Rouge for Italian food are the outlets where you can full your stomach depending upon the inclination of your taste buds.
