With one of the best collections of 'British Art on India', Imperial Hotel was the only luxury hotel in Lutyen's Delhi before 1945. Popularly known as 'museum hotel' as it has preserved very beautiful and original works of prominent colonial painters like William Simpson, William Hodges, Thomas and William Daniells, Emily Eden, John Zollony, James Ferguson and J.B. Fraser among the many, the hotel offers a unique experience to its guests that can be defined as truly imperial. The hotel also has the largest collection on display of land war gallantry awards in India and neighboring countries such as Afghanistan, Burma, Bhutan and China.

Dining
The Imperial houses some of the finest restaurants in New Delhi, which offer a fine dining experience to suit any occasion. Whether it is The Spice Route, one of the top ten restaurants in the world by Condé Nast Traveler, serving Southeast Asian cuisine decorated visual depiction of the art and culture of the region or 1911, which pays a tribute to historic milestone of Delhi becoming the capital of British India and is a celebration of aesthetics with rich interiors, cuisine showcasing the melting pot culture of Delhi and service that is truly a reflection of Imperial India. The restaurant is spread over three areas, 1911 Brasserie, the bar and the verandah lounge, overlooking the lawns. San Gimignano, the Imperial's Italian specialty restaurant and Daniell's Tavern's, the pan-Indian restaurant are the other eating-places of the hotel. The Patiala Peg commemorates the Maharaja of Patiala's team's victory over the Viceroy's, in a robust game of tent-pegging in the early 1900's. It has fine collection of wines unique to the hotel. The beautiful Atrium is the tea lounge and La Baguette, the pastry shop of the hotel.
Conference and Recreation
The Royal Ballroom has been the venue of New Delhi's most important social gatherings, political get-together and business meetings ever since it started functioning. Claimed to be the only authentic ballroom of the capital evoking the regal grandeur of British Raj, it is an ideal place to host conferences, meetings and banquets of any scale.
