Located amidst the arid deserts of the princely state of Rajasthan, Jaipur is the first planned city of India. It is centrally located in the central pavilion of the elaborate sprawling Jai Niwas Garden, in between the magnificent Chandra Mahal and Badal Mahal. The idol of the deity here was originally kept in a temple in Vrindavan. It was installed here by Sawai Jai Singh II, as the ruling god of his family. The previous temple built by Raja Man Singh was consecrated in 1590 A.D.
Moti Dungari is a tiny hillock, situated in the heart of the city of Jaipur. The term Moti Dungari refers to Hill of Pearls or Pearl Hill. The scenic hill has a palace and a temple. The temple's idol is Lord Ganesha. Religious tours of Jaipur can take you for a visit to this temple.
