This rock is about 3000 million years old and hence is one of the oldest rock formations on earth. This garden opens at around 8 am and closes at 8 pm.
Tourists frequently visit the Cubbon Park, which was established in 1864, during their garden tours of Bangalore. Richard Sankey who was the Chief Engineer of Mysore, started this park. The park is named after Sir Mark Cubbon, as he was the longest serving Commissioner of Bangalore.
