Many scenic and beautiful beaches adorn the city of Mumbai and also around it. The Marve, Manori and Gorai beaches are three of the most prized beaches, located in the vicinity of the city. These small and pretty beaches are situated to the north of the city, and are very famous among the locals as well as the tourists.
The Marve, Manori and Gorai beaches are unexplored and are free from any kind of pollution. It is a delight to sit back on the shiny clean sand and enjoy the breeze caressing your face. The calm and soothing water with its gentle ripples create a beautiful melody, leaving you mesmerised in the process. The pure and untainted air leaves you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
The Manori beach is the nearest beach to the city. It is a gorgeous beach beside a small fishing village. You will also find a quaint Portuguese church on the beach. This church is very old and has its own rustic beauty. Apart from this, you will also find an orchard filled with cashew nut trees. The famous amusement parks Essel World and Water Kingdom are also placed close by. As a result it attracts many tourists. But even if we discount those entertainment options nearby, the tranquil charm of the beach itself is enough to attract tourists.
The Marve, Manori and Gorai beaches are located in close proximity to each other. The Marve beach is also housed within a sylvan fishing village, which also has some very exquisite houses. The Gorai beach is a beautiful beach which completes the trilogy. These three beaches are ideal romantic weekend gateways from Mumbai, where you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset at leisure and find yourself amidst pristine solitude and waves of nature. You can spot some lovely cottages in these beaches, which are owned by the cream of the crop of Mumbai. For accommodation purposes, you can avail of the various hotels here or the houses offered on rent. Budget hotels are also found here.
The Marve, Manori and Gorai beaches mirror the culture and leisurely pace of Goa. Here you will find people dressed in typical Goan costumes. The church and the surroundings add to this effect. However you can host beach parties here at nights which may continue until dawn.
The three beaches are easily accessible from all parts of the city of Mumbai. The railway station at Malad is closest to the beaches. The Marve beach is at a distance of about 40 km by road. Further from Marve beach you can opt for a boat ride, which helps you reach the Manori and the Gorai beaches.
