National Science Centre, on the main Bhairon Road, before the gate no-1 of Pragati Maidan is one of the largest and best science centres of National Council of Science Museum (NCSM) with good scientific models, participatory exhibits, interesting artifacts on display. Established with the aim to create and develop interest of the students in the field of science, a visit to the centre would be a fun as well as learning for anybody.

There are many galleries in the centre specifically dealing with a particular theme having a number of displays. These displays are based on different theories and laws of science that can be understood by the students by demonstrating it practically. Among the many, the models displayed at Human Biology gallery are very intriguing and fascinating. A lot of visitors especially children like the Dinosaur's gallery of animals of Mesozoic era. Then there are also numbers of displays informing India's contribution to science and mathematics, about Nobel Prize winners and eminent Indian personalities of the field.

National Science Centre also houses a good library and an inflatable planetarium apart from the Cyber School, which organizes various short-term courses for the students as well as the teachers.

There is also a souvenir shop within the museum premises where visitors can purchase key chains, t-shirts and chinaware.

Special Event / Annual Event

The centre organizes interactive sessions with leading scientist of the country and science picnics for the students (in group). For details check with local authorities
