The Pushkar Lake is the major attraction in Pushkar. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Brahma created the Pushkar Lake. Tourists visit this city to enjoy the pristine beauty of the lake. The lake is surrounded by 52 ghats. Celebrated every year on the day of Kartik, the Pushkar Fair attracts thousands of tourists from all over.

Mangliyawas, 26 km from Ajmer can be included as a destination in your excursions from Ajmer. This town comprises of two 800-year old trees which are referred to as 'Kalpa-Vriksha'. In the months of 'Sravana' thousands of visitors visit Mangliyawas to worship these trees. Beawar is another tourist destination located at a mere distance of 54km away from Ajmer. This place is famous for its Badshahi march fair. Celebrated on the day after Holi, the fair is held with great pomp and enthusiasm.

Kishan Garh is a beautiful village on the way to Jaipur from Ajmer. Located at a distance of 27 km from Ajmer, the village is known for its rich art. This residence of artists is popular for Gundelao Lake, Phool Mahal Palace, and Shrine of Kalyan Raiji and the Majhala Palace. It once comprised one of the best schools for mini painting.
