There are many tourist attractions in Rajasthan which are visited by domestic and inbound tourists year round.

Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Jaisalmer are the historical cities where you can view the majesty and erstwhile glory of Rajasthan in their magnificence. The City Palace of Jaipur, Amber Fort, Kumbhalgarh Fort, Nagaur Fort, Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan, Old Fort Museum, Junagarh Fort, Jaisalmer Fort and many other forts and palaces dot the landscape of this desert state with a royal aura, whose grandeur can leave you awestruck. This palace is famous for its waterworks, also known as stepwells, apart from its havelis, chhatris and temples.

One of the major tourist attractions in Rajasthan are the Dilwara Temples. These temples are located near Mount Abu, the only hill station of this state. The marble temples date back from the 11th to 13th century A.D. and are world famous for their sculptures of Jain Tirthankaras and ornate carvings on the walls, pillars, ceilings, doorways and panels depicting unparalleled beauty, elegance and simplicity. They are sacred sites for Jains.

However, besides temples, forts and palaces, Rajasthan has other wild attractions in store too. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, situated in Bharatpur, is one of the finest bird parks in the world. It is also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park and is one of the important tourist attractions in Rajasthan. Another of the interesting tourist attractions in Rajasthan, specially for the wildlife enthusiasts, is the Sariska National Park. Another important tourist destination in this state is the Ranthambore National Park, which is situated in eastern Rajasthan. This sanctuary is located at the place where the Aravali hill range meets the Vindhyan plateau.
