Rajasthan has only one international airport, and that is located in its capital city Jaipur. Flights from Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai land here. However, international travellers coming to Rajasthan, can use Delhi and Mumbai as a base or gateway to this land of fascinating charms. Indian Airlines and Jet Airways have daily flights to/from Rajasthan from New Delhi and Mumbai. Delhi is in fact the ideal destination to get flights to/from Rajasthan.
As far as domestic connectivity is concerned, the Jaipur has flight connectivity from cities like Jodhpur, Bangalore, Aurangabad, Goa, Delhi, Udaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai etc. Known as Sanganer Airport, the airport at Jaipur is located just 14 km from the city.
Besides Jaipur airport, there are other airports in Rajasthan, located in the blue city of Jodhpur, the city of lakes, Udaipur and the desert city of Jaisalmer. However, the Jaisalmer airport only opens from 1st October to 31st March. From Jodhpur, there are daily flights to Delhi and Mumbai, via Jaipur and Udaipur respectively. Udaipur airport too has regular flights to/from Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Jodhpur. The airport is 28 km from the city.
