Your journey will start from the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. This place is known as Sangam. Bathing at this place has an auspicious importance. One can use the specially made platform while bathing. 'Magh Mela' and 'Maha Kumbh Mela' are the holiest periods. Maha Kumbh Mela is held after every 12 years. Boating through river is available. While boating we can see bathers at confluence and the mighty Allahabad Fort.

Allahabad Fort is the largest fort built by Mughal Emperor Akbar. It was built in 1583 AD. The fort is near the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. There is an underground temple called Patalpuri, which is supposed to be the source of the mythical Saraswati river. There is a park near Allahabad Fort, called as Minto Park. It has a white stone memorial with four lion symbols.

Anand Bhavan is the inherited home of the Nehru family. In 1970 it was donated to the nation. Swaraj Bhavan is next to the Anand Bhavan. It was used as headquarters of Congress Committee by Motilal Nehru. These are open for visitors from 9.30am to 5 pm, daily except Monday. Allahabad University is one of the oldest and reputed universities of India. It is designed by Sir William Emerson. It has a 200 feet tower made with pale-yellow sandstone, and is adorned with mosaic floors. Kausambi Museum is present inside the university.

Allahabad Museum is present on the Kamala Nehru Road, in the Chandra Shekhar Azad Park. It has great collection of stone sculptures. It also includes terracotta figurines, Rajasthani miniature paintings, coins, stone and flint tools, neckless beads, weapons, furniture, and paintings by Nicholas Roerich.

Public Library was founded in 1864. Its construction is the best example of Gothic architecture. It has around 75,000 books and journals. It is open to visitors between 9.30 am - 6.30 pm and closed in weekends. Khusru Bagh is another place to visit. The name of the park is derived from the prince Khusru, the oldest son of emperor Jahangir. The main tomb in the garden is of prince Khusru prince. There are two more tombs, of Khusru's sister and his mother.

Victorial Memorial is located in Chandra Shekhar Azad Park. Though there is no statue of Queen Victoria, it is known by her name. All Saints Cathedral is perhaps the finest cathedral in Asia. Its construction bears colonial style, which was designed by Sir William Emerson. It is also known as Patthar Girija. There is a park devoted to Chandra Shekhar Azad, the great freedom fighter of India. Hanuman temple is a modern temple of Lord Hanuman.
