Santala Devi Temple is a famous temple dedicated to Santala Devi. It is located at a distance of about 15 km from the city. It is said that on realizing that Santala Devi along with her brother would not be able to face Mughals, abandoned their weapons and began to pray. A light flickered and both were transformed into stone images. Tapowan is also a holy place with beautiful surroundings. It is believed that Guru Dronacharya had done his penance here. Laxman Siddh is a place around 12 km away from Dehradun. It is said that Laxman underwent penance over here.
