The 'Queen of the Hills', Mussoorie is a charming hill station situated in the foothills of the Himalayan ranges. This fascinating hill resort with green hills saturated with variety of flora and fauna and gives enchanting view of snow capped mountain ranges and pine covered hill slopes. The modern bungalows, malls and well developed area also are major attractions for tourists.

Nature has gifted Mussoorie with lots of natural features which makes this place more beautiful. Lal Tibba is the highest point of Mussoorie located in Landour area. Gun Hill is the second highest point on this hill station. There are various shops on this hill which makes it a popular picnic spot. The hill offers a panoramic view of the city. Municipal Gardens in the city were laid by geologist Dr. H. Fackner. Camel's Back Road is about 3 km long, which starts from Kulri Bazar and ends at Library Bazar. Horse riding and walking on this road are the interesting activities. This road takes its name from mountain outcrop in the shape of a camel's hump.

Kempty Falls is about 15 km away from the city on the Yamunotri Road. It is the prettiest and biggest waterfall around Mussoorie, surrounded by high mountain ranges. Jharipani Fall and Bhatta Falls are other two waterfalls of Mussoorie. A beautiful spot for boating is the Mussoorie Lake on the Dehradun Road, at about 6 km distance from Mussoorie.

Temples of Mussoorie include Nag Devta Temple, which is an ancient temple about 6 km away from the town. It offers charming view of Doon Valley as well as of city. Jwalaji Temple is situated on the top of Benog Hill. The temple surrounded by dense forest enshrines the idol of Goddess Durga. The hilltop offers a panoramic view of Himalayan ranges, Yamuna valley and Doon valley. Van Chetna Kendra is a developed picnic spot with pine forests and shrubs. This park even has the collection of the variety of animals and birds.

Mussoorie is accessible by different types of transportation facilities. Dehradun is the nearest railhead to the city. Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport to the city. The road network between Mussoorie and other major places is good. There are buses as well as private taxis available for traveling.

Mussoorie is a wonderful hill station with beautiful valleys, dense forests, and gushing waterfalls. Many other features make it a major tourist attraction in India.
